In other words, hi! I'm so glad you've decided to check out
my blog! My name is Jenn and I've recently been hired as part of the Disney
College Program (DCP) as a Hospitality Cast Member, or Disney's magical way of
saying "hotel front desk employee". I'm beyond excited for this
incredible opportunity and plan to use this blog as a way not only to document
my own experiences, but give general information about the DCP to those who may
be considering applying in the future.
So first, a little bit about me.
- I'm a junior at Liberty University, double majoring in Youth Ministry and Women's Ministry.
- I'm a born and raised Jersey girl, and yes, it annoys me if all you know about Jersey is the Jersey Shore, however I now split my time between VA for school and PA with my parents.
- I actually do not have an official count of how many times I've visited Disney World/Disneyland as a guest, however, my most recent calculations put me somewhere around ten visits, with my longest visit being eight days (March '14).
- While I loved Disney as a child, my passion for Disney skyrocketed after high school, as I found ways to plan trips and learn more about Disney history online.
- My DCP acceptance journey is atypical, as I was accepted more than three weeks after the official end of Disney's recruiting season - but more about that later.
Basically, I'm just a girl who loves Jesus and Disney and is
about to have the experience of a life time! I hope you'll join me on this
exciting journey as I move across the country and work for the Big Mouse
himself!
